Black Lion in Long Melford, Suffolk, a great experience

If anyone is looking for a great place to stay when they visit Suffolk in East Anglia, we highly recommend the Black Lion Hotel in Long Melford. It's more like a bed and breakfast - but with lunch, dinner, snacks, tea, and a lounge. And the food is all gourmet quality. The rooms are beautifully decorated, each having extra color-coordinated throw pillows, and a robe and slippers for each guest. They even have a well-stocked bookcase on the second floor for the guest who forgot to bring reading material. And the staff was very kind, helpful and attentive.
Highly recommended!

Sounds lovely. Could you give us an idea of the cost?

This is the first and only post by jgreer. Sounds very much like an advert.

No advert. We just liked it better than the Bull that's so well advertised. Figured the Black Lion needed its share of feedback. Also have contacted Fodor's about it because they list the Bull and invite customer comments....but not a word about the Black Lion. I think we customers need to know about all that's available, not just one pick, don't you?
Anyway, it's the first time we've been to England. The first time we've been out of country, actually. It was fun! So, no, you probably won't see many if any posts from us until we are able to travel more and give feedback.
