BILBOA Airport to Hotel in San Sebastian
Greetings From Canada!!
Looking for some advice... my husband and I will be travelling to San Sebastian next month with our 5 year old twins. I have been unable to secure a reservation for a car rental from Bilboa airport the night that we land (which beyond shocks me!). So, we now need to travel from the airport to our hotel, TRYP San Sebastian Orly at 9pm on a Saturday evening via transit. I have contacted the hotel twice for advice and haven't heard back (UGH).
I read that there is a bus from the airport that takes just over an hour, but I can't seem to figure out where that will drop me. I am concerned about arriving in the city at 10pm with luggage and two jet lagged children, and not knowing where to go. There doesn't appear to be a map on the PESA website, and many bus stops in San Sebastian. Anyone know where I will be dropped off? My best guess is at PIO XII, but not sure...
And once dropped off, I would guess that there will be taxis available to grab to get to the hotel?
Can anyone ease my mind??
Thanks in advance,
Tanya

The bus from Bilbao is very convenient...just infront of the airport .
There were many taxis at the bus stop when we arrived ( it was day time, but
in a tourist place like SS 10 pm is not late ).

Thanks for the reply Danon and Robert2016. I realize I misspelled the airport here, and I apologize for that. But they are drop down's on the car rental websites so that isn't the issue.
I will book the bus tickets online and fingers crossed there will be a taxi waiting for us when we get into town. Thanks!

It's an approximately 75-minute ride from Bilbao airport to San Sebastián, depending on which stop you disembark at. You'll need to know where your hotel is in relation to the SS stops to get off at the nearest one. Taxis should not be a problem.
It is normally not possible to pick up a rental car in Europe after about 6 pm unless you make special arrangements with the car rental agency.

You arrive at the new and cutting edge bus station in San Sebastián, just by the city river Urumea and next door to the train station. Taxis are abundant at the station, and it will be a four min ride to the Trip Orly hotel (600-700 meters).

I certainly wouldn't be taking the bus if I was arriving that late in the day and with a matching pair of young children. I doubt they would be able to get to the hotel before 23:00 (11:00 pm). There are excellent transfer services available if the OP is unable to rent a car (for some unknown reason).
