Bikes and trains from Zeebrugge

I want to start in Zeebrugge and let my heart take me on a 2 week ride (bike or train) into Europe. Will have to carry all my luggage on the bike and generally don't like riding up hills.

I've cysled down the Mosel but can you suggest any logical places I might visit or web sites with ideas.

You could start with looking at this site; http://www.fietsroute.org/indexuk.htm

I see there's a Belgian beer cycle route.

I guess I would take my bike on the train up to Delft and then pedal north.

if you play it by ear, then I would let the wind determine your direction. I cycled from Zeebrugge north to Amsterdam - all against the wind and NO FUN AT ALL.

Thanks all. The web site is very good and I had not found it before.

I've done Delft North as well and it is a good trip

The flat land of benelux is good for bikes but bad for wind

From Zeebrugge you could start with Damme and Brugge, which are an easy bike ride away. Or go north via Knokke and go into the Dutch province of Zeeland, visit places like Middelburg, Zierikzee, Domburg.

I like Middleburg and the whole of Zeeland so was think more about going South and East and then catch a train back to say Rotterdam for the ferry to Hull (starting in Hull for Zeebrugge)

Oddly enough this is where the bike trips i organized and led for ten years started on the Continent - we took the ferry here from Dover (no longer running) and then headed to nearby Bruges - then to:

Gent

Antwerp

Delft

Den Hague

sand dune trails to Zandvoort

over to Alkmaar

to Haarlem

to Amsterdam

going this way you are likely to have the potentially horracious winds at your back (and rain as well) - one summer it rained on 35 straight days all day - mainly a drizzle so pack good rain gear.
