Big Thumb Statue in Paris
The giant thumb statue in Paris is called "Le Pouce de Cesar" and is 12 meters high and 4 meters wide. You can find it in the area of Paris called La Defense near the Grande Arche. And what a thumb it is!

It's pretty good. It's to the left of the CNIT.

Kate wins the all time prize -- finding and topping a twenty-two year old thread . . .

And for 22 years, I wasn't aware of this thumb.
|
What intrigued me the most (not having noticed the date) was that a "guest" could post.

Everyone was a 'guest' in 1996 ;) . . . that was years before registration. |
True. Also, on just about every site, people who have deleted their account are listed as "guest" if their posts remain visible.

Haha nanabee -- I like your pic!

1. In the twenty or so years I have been on this site, this is the first time I’m reading about the giant thumb. 2. How on earth did someone find a thread from 1996 with no replies? Was it listed somewhere as a “related thread”? In any event, I am happy to have seen it now. |

She certainly gets a "Thumbs up" from me. ((H)) |
