Bicycling or Motorscooter near Florence

Jump to last reply

My wife and I will be staying in Florence September 28 and 29 and Siena on September 30.

We will be visiting the American Cemetery near Florence. Florence American Cemetery is located on the west side of Via Cassia, about 7½ miles south of Florence.

We would like to rent bicycles or a two person motor scooter instead of using the bus to visit the cemetery but are concerned about traffic, roads, our safety, etc.

Does anyone have experience driving or riding the road from Florence on a road less travelled?

Thank you!
