Biarritz-Lisbone

I'd like to know which is the best way of transportation to go from Biarritz to Lisbone? I all I know is that plane tickets are too expensive... Thanks

Overnight train from Hendaye, Spanish border station not far from Biarritz - gets in Lisbon next day bout noon i think - train called Sud Express - leaves 22:00 gets in 10:43 am next morning. No daytime rail connections.

In case you don't like long train rides too much:

Go from Biarritz to Bilbao (train, bus, car, it's about 150km). From there you can use www.vueling.com to fly to Barcelona and from Barcelona to Lisbon. Of course, it isn't exactly the 'easiest' way to go, but perhaps this way you could also put Barcelona in your itinerary!

The overnight train goes from Irun, the first station in Spain (in the other direction, it goes from Lisboa to Hendaye). It has a Portuguese restaurant car and sleeping cars.

I took a bus 0nce from Biarritz to San Sebastian and then a train to Madrid. Now, many years older and` wiser, I think I would continue by bus to Bilbao and then maybe fly Portugalia Airlines http://www.pga.pt Bilbao-Lisbon
