Beyoglu hotel help please

Hello Fodorites,

We're going to Istanbul for days, then Cappodocia, then back to Istanbul. I'd like to stay in Beyoglu for one part of our Istanbul trip but the hotels are failing to inspire. Can anyone recommend a hotel with a little charm in that area? Everything seems to be modern and business-y. I'd much prefer a little ornament, even if it is run-down. Thanks very much.

Hi

What's your budget (in euros)?

We're not on a tight budget but I'd prefer not to spend a lot if I don't have to. Let's say under 200 euros.

If you are looking for a hotel in TAKSIM instead of BEYOGLU you will find lots of Hotel. Beyoglu and Taksim is only 5 minutes walk. BUT if you insist to stay in Beyoglu RICHMOND HOTEL has one and their web page is:

Have a nice trip in Turkey

Hi

What about the Grand Hotel de Londres - http://www.londrahotel.net. A deluxe room (renovated) with a view is around €110. Nice :)

Ansen Suites at Pera or Lush Hip Hotel would be my recommendations as I know them both with ups and downs, would serve your purpose.....

Happy Travelling,
Murat

Thanks everyone! Has anyone stayed at Galata Residence? And, worldinabag, I'd love to hear your thoughts on Londres if you stayed there. It appears to be right up our alley.
