Beware when in Spain!

Flamenco flash mobs protested the financial conditions in Spain.

Be careful of those deadly hand movements.

Robert2533 Jun 15th, 2012 07:28 AM

Excellent!!!

adrienne Jun 15th, 2012 07:55 AM

Love it! This is so much better than those other beware Spain posts we've been seeing.

tomboy Jun 15th, 2012 08:03 AM

Colduphere would probably post that Clap can be deadly.

mattian Jun 15th, 2012 08:20 AM

I'm cancelling my upcoming trip to Spain.......I cannot dance like that!

adrienne Jun 15th, 2012 08:40 AM

Don't cancel - take lessons. Learn to move those hips!

colduphere Jun 15th, 2012 08:45 AM

That Clap can be deadly.

Aduchamp1 Jun 15th, 2012 08:56 AM

By absolute coincidence someone sent me this today which took place in Sabadell which is near Barcelona.

Adu...the Sabadelli "incident" was absolutely beyond beautiful. The many little animated children taking part brought tears of joy...the little one climbing the lampost (in red) stole my heart. Gracias, old boy! You made my day.

Footnote: I was looking all over the crowd for the recent "Beware of Spain" poster with his/her back-pack, surrounded by a gang of unsavory pickpockets licking their chops....

kappa1 Jun 15th, 2012 09:55 AM

I will be careful this weekend, my first time in Madrid. Too late cancel ;-)

¡Viva España!

thanks Adu........after all (unnecessary) doom and gloom.
A glorious country and its spirited people......worth celebrating!

gailw Jun 15th, 2012 11:22 AM

Thank you so much for posting that link. It also brought tears to my eyes, and I'm SUCH an old grouch. What spirit.

kimhe Jun 15th, 2012 09:59 PM

Great video, serious business and typical Spanish. More "sevillian" protest: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Cqvcke8Xe9I

mattian wrote: “I'm cancelling my upcoming trip to Spain.......I cannot dance like that!” you don’t have to in the north they don’t either. We are Flamenco-less.
ON FB there are also a lot of "protest" pictures.
Like these policemen signing a petition.

Oh, Adu! Thank You! Song of Joy, indeed.

I wondered about the memories & pictures that may have passed through the elderly lady's thoughts.

annhig Jun 16th, 2012 01:44 AM

loved it. and worth watching right to the end to see the attempts of the security officer to manhandle the bloke in the cow suit. what was that about?

Aduchamp1 Jun 16th, 2012 06:05 AM

Thanks they were sent to me by two of my half-Spanish sisters-in-law.

kimhe Jun 16th, 2012 06:41 AM

ribeira,

This was a funny one regarding Galicia and flamenco: 200 allegedly tablaos in Galicia, three times as much as in Andalucía, a cover to be able to stay open to 5.30 in the morning :)

Thank you Adu!

Pegontheroad Jun 20th, 2012 08:44 PM

This is great! Those Spanish gals have got it going on! I also got a kick out of the security guard trying half-heartedly to herd these folks out of the bank.
