Beware Green Motion Car Hire in the UK
 

In the UK there's a car hire company called Green Motion. They are notorious for overcharging, inventing scratches and dings on cars and charging you for someone else's damage. There's an interesting thread on TA Manchester

There are frequent very negative reports on Trip Advisor about Green Motion Car Hire . Easirent and Drivalia also get poor reviews. They initially offer what seem to be very attractive rates but issues with 'damage' when the car is returned mounts up rapidly and you often end up paying well over the odds. As ever - caveat emptor...

Yikes! Thanks for the heads up... I once had a similar experience with a different company in Spain. They tried to pin damages on me that weren't there.
