Between Greeve Chiatnti and ROME, where to go?
 

30 year anniversary trip and the planning is full steam ahead. I'm at a bit of road block. We are traveling the first two weeks in October 2012. We get into Venice stay for 2 nights then onto Florence, stay for 3 nights, then on to Greve stay for 3 nights...then ???? 2 days of WHAT ??? 3 days in Rome to end our once in a life time trip. Any suggestions from the worldy travelers of Fodor. Any must sees would also be appreciated. thanks

What/where do you plan to explore out of Florence and Greve?

I suggest that instead of adding another stop you instead add those extra nights to the ones you already have. All of your stops can use additional nights, especially Venice (if you're flying in from the US you will probably find yourself jet lagged for at least 1-2 days) and Rome.

Option 1... Add another night to Chianti, and one more to Rome.

Option 2... Go about halfway down, to Orvieto.

Option 3... Is Perugia too far out of the way?

Will you be driving?
