Between Arles and Fontainebleau

Could anyone help me out with a quaint village to stay between Arles and Fontainebleau. Wanted to stay in Villefranche sur saone but cannot find any nice places.

The ramparted town of Perouges is east of Villefranche, yet close to an Autoroute - which I assume you want.

Further north is Vezelay with the great basilica or Noyers-sur-Serein with its 16 towers. Both are not far from the Autoroute.

I'll second Noyers-sur-Serein as a quaint village. I don't know if nearby Montréal has accomodations, but it also is a nice town.

Hi lyban
Try Orange, cute town with a Roman theatre, Hotel Arene. Beaune for the vineyards and wine tasting.

Not so quaint, but Lyon is nice. Old town and the food is wonderful!

Lots of great little towns from Arles to Fountainebleu.

Go to www.viamichelin.com and map out your drive, you'll see plenty of options.
Enjoy!
