Beth Marciel, is it really trhat difficult to post your questions in ONE post VS. twenty? Are you a travel agent?

Is there a rule against travel agents using this forum? Is there a rule against short concise questions? Would it be any more honorable if these various questions were asked by an assortment of "[email protected]" pseudonyms? - - a seemingly time-honored tradition here!
Beth is every bit as welcome here as "The Police" or the "FBI"!

You are obviously new to this forum, so please be aware that yes, this forum has have congestion/traffic problems that has resulted in some interface incoveniences for EVERYBODY. I agree that posting 14 questions, one after the other, regarding an Italian vacation, besides potentially causing an unnecessary congestion, lacks common sense. Suggest you browse how other posters have done it and how they have, in fact, gotten help. As a new user to this forum, you are making some unflatering assumptions about the people you are seeking help from. It could be worth your while to get off the high horse.

Beth - Welcome to the World of Snobbery better known as Fodor's. How dare you come on here and break all the unwritten rules set up by the old farts sitting around their computers at the Old Age Home. Woe Betide he or she that violates the sanctity of their private little club. I gave up posting on here months ago because of their condescending comments. Try Lonely Planet - it's for those of us under 75 years of age.

I believe Beth thought she would get a much different response to her declaration that she was a travel agent; I suspect she thought we would be climbing over each other to ask her questions. What she didn't realize is that the people go to this forum to receive other independant travellers advice, not agent's. hmmm. I suspect there are more than a few people out there that are soured on travel agents. Just my humble opinion folks.

The rules are not enforced, but one is requested to abide by them. If you are considerate you will do so. They are not unwritten and made up by 'old farts' as one poster suggests - the Fodors home page clearly states "no commercial promotion". The only place where this might be acceptable is if a poster asks for specific information about a specific tour or travel agent (i.e. "Has anyone used CIT to book tours of Italy?" and such like).
