Beth and Nancy(Italy trip)
where are you and how are things now?
|
I have been reading a few older threads and was wondering the same.

topping

Beth and Nancy were those two 75-year-old retired kindergarten school teachers from Alaska who's been friends since their own kindergarten days. They posted here a few times when they were planning their first European vacation. They went to Italy together for a long 4-month trip. Both fell in love with Italy AND with two Italian men 20 years their junior. They married, and now the two life-long friends are living happily ever after in two lovely villas located just a mile a part on the winding road in the Tuscan hills. They are so touched that you remember them.

And such delightful ladies they were. How have they and their dogs adjusted to the climate of Italy after spending their entire lives in Alaska? Have they adjusted to cooking with olive oil instead of whale blubber? Have they found a mushing club in Tuscany?
|
Ibelieve I saw a posting a few months ago that Beth's daughter and son in law were relocating as well and were going to help restore the vineyards and olive orchard. I think that was going to be after the new granchild arrives.

I don't recall them being from Norway, I thought it was the US? At any rate, soon they will be able to use their home grown and harvested olives for oil.

And I think it was a Bunko club they were starting up, having so much fun teaching their new found Italian lady friends the game.

Oops, did not see that the other posters had mentioned they were from Alaska. The mushing and whale blubber info threw me to the wrong continent.

Pup wants to learn to mush. Are poodles allowed in the club?
