Best way to travel from Houston to Dubrovnik and France
We are seasoned travelers. Going to the "OLD COUNTRY" for the first time: Dubrovnik-Belgrade-Trebinje-Petrovac. We have 5-6 days to be there and want to see relatives in Monte Carlo-Nice and Paris area.
We are in good shape-baby boomers-Traveling in July this summer.
What would be the best way to travel? Fly into Paris? travel by Train? Fly into Dubrovnik?
Fly to Venice and take boat to Croatia?
Economical travel is the key for us. We want the most bang for our buck!

Why are you mixing such diverse areas---have you checked the map? That will not be easy nor inexpensive.
Paris is a long way from Nice.
Dubrovnik is a long way from Belgrade.
Paris a really long way from Dubrovnik
Travel logistics will be a real hassle.

Best way to get to Paris from Houston is to fly. Similar for Dubrovnik.
Problem is, getting to Dubrovnik from Texas will cost much $ and will require a couple of airplane changes. You also can't fly direct to Venice from Houston and taking a boat from Venice to "Croatia" does little for you because Dubrovnik is at the southern tip of Croatia and Venice is in the northeastern part of Italy so connecting the two requires a long southeasterly cruise, not just a quick jaunt across the Adriatic.
That said, what is the "old country"? Belgrade, Trebinje, Petrovac, and Dubrovnik are in FOUR different countries and have been for quite awhile. The notion that you can reach all four in one lengthy trip of a couple of weeks without great expense is likely fanciful. The thought that you could do so in 5-6 days is daft.
And how would you get to go to Paris, etc. from those four AND see Monte Carlo and nice all in a 5-6 day stint? It's not a reasonable goal.
Nice to Paris is > 5 hours by train. You need to pick what you want to do -- Croatia/Balkans or Paris/Nice and jam in what you can in your 5-6 days. Doing both will be expensive and unfulfilling.

Hi,
Can't contribute on trips within/between Croatia and Serbia. However, going to/from France to Croatia and Serbia you could check: Easyjet flies between Dubrovnik and Paris and WizzAir flies between Belgrade and Brussels.
