Best way to Travel!
Hi Everyone!
I just came back from my first time to Europe and I just wanted to post my experience to everyone! I went with the tour company Contiki as a solo traveler. I ended up making so many friends from all over the world. I went to the Moulin Rouge in Paris, took a trolley up a mountain in Switzerland, went on a Gondola ride in Venice, Mountain biked and white water rafted in Austria, drank beer in Munich and a millon other things. I am so glad I got to see so many places during this one trip because now when I go back to Europe I'll know some places I want to revisit and see again. Everyone should do a contiki it was awesome (only if youre under 35 though!) but yeah, it was the best time ever and I now I am a travel adict. Happy Travels! |
Glad you enjoyed your first trip..you now have the bug!
How long was the tour? That's alot of ground you covered. |

Are you a agent for Contiki. It sure likes an advert, in my opinion. You should remember that free adverts on this forum isn't allowed. In fact many of the posters get unhappy when this is just an advert. So, give us a bit more information-where you are from, how old are you, when did this long voyage happened, etc.. Give us a trip report, since you saw so many great places. And also, did you find any trolls when you're in Austria. Blackduff |
Hi C,
YOu wouldn't mind providing a trip report would you? Otherwise, it does look like you are spamming the forum with adverts. Weren't you planning to spend a year studying in Barcelona? ((I)) |
You say you "just came back" yet in another post (also promoting Contiki) you say you were there this past summer. Are you referring to the same tour?

Contiki are well known here as a holiday company for students - not the majority Fodor's demographic.

I must agree that this sounds like a bad attempt at an advertisement. So Caroline, are you saying what is your take on the "Fodors Demographic"? Should I always keep in mind that I am getting my advice from what some may consider complainy "Old Folks"? I recall a post a few weeks ago where someone attempted to ask the average age of Fodorites and either did not get any straight answers or got tactfully ripped for even asking. So are you confirming for us all that this is an "Old Folks" forum?

Even if this isn't an advert, some of us would rather chew an arm off than travel like that.

Count me as one -- on condition that it is not my own arm that I have to chew off. |
