Best way to Norwich area from London
 

We'll be arriving at one of the London airports and will head to the Norwich area for genealogy work. What's the best way to get there...train, bus, car, etc. Thanks.

Which airport AND do you mean Norwich itself or some outlying town/village?

If they're doing genealogical research they'll be going to Norwich because that's where Norfolk Record Office is.

Where are you coming from? Depending on that, it might be worth checking the fare of a flight to Norwich via Amsterdam.

We'll be flying to London from Derry in No. Ireland and going immediately to the Norwich area. We're not really certain where exactly we'll find the leads will take us.

You still haven't told us which airport. I'd assume either Luton or Stansted - but who knows???

According to Derry Airport's web site, flights go to Stansted (Ryanair).
From Stansted you catch a train to Norwich via Cambridge - service seems to be hourly from Stansted

Yeah!! We have an answer. Actually I have done that trip. Enjoyed the day spent roaming around.

Thanks for your help. We are making the trip in Sept so had not tied all the flights down. But it appears we'll be arriving in Stansted from Derry.
