best way to get to Prague old town hotel with luggage?

Jump to last reply

I understand that Prague is not a town in which we would want to try to park a car, so we are considering flying into Prague, staying a few days in May 2010, and then renting a car to drive to Vienna where we will stay a few more days then return the car at the airport & fly home from there.
We'll have 2 large pieces of luggage plus nice cameras/backpacks, so I don't think we want to take a train or bus.

In this case, is calling a taxi the best way to get to the hotel from the airport? We haven't chosen a hotel yet, but probably will be in old town.

also, Would we need to return to the aiport to rent a car?
Any suggestions on safest car rental company in this situation?
