That is easy. Many big railway stations, including I think Luton, will hand you as free map called London Connections, with both train and tube. All you do is take the Thameslink stopping train from Luton to West Hampstead, and change to the Jubilee line to Wembley Park. The change is simple but a bit long, in that you go upstairs to street level, cross Iverson Road, and go downstairs again to platform level.

Welcome to London

The Thameslink train was 10 pounds, and quite efficient. We got a discount though when we showed that we had bought an all day tube pass. I think it was about 8 pounds with the discount.
