Best way to get from London to Madrid...?

At the beginning of November I need to make my way from London to Madrid (as cheap as possible). Taking the train seems pretty costly compared to flights that I have checked out - quoted at about 15.90 GBP. This seems the cheapest way possible to me... am I right? Any suggestions on other forms of cheap travel?

I have a choice to book a flight from London Gatwick or Luton. Of course I have never been to either. Is there any pros or cons to either? Which is easier to get to? Faster to get to?

Thanks in advance!
Stewie, I don't think you'll find anything cheaper that £15.00 but book it now... at that price the seats will sell quickly.

Stewie,

Book those EasyJet flights NOW!!

Personally, I prefer Gatwick because the trains from London Thameslink or Gatwick Express take less time and arrive right under the terminal, whereas at Luton you still have to take a short shuttle bus ride. But I would still do Luton if the price or schedule were better.

Andre

Stewie, Stansted is pretty easy to get to as well, from Liverpool Street Station.
