Best way to get from Dublin to London? B&B recommendation for Dublin?
What is the most economical air carrier Dublin-London? Or is the best way the ferry-train which sounds like it takes 10 hrs? Also, am looking for a Dublin B&B with charm & ensuite bath for single woman. Will not have car. Thx Fodorite's once again!

I'd check the Ryanair website for prices on flights. Make sure to check ALL the London airports - if you don't need to arrive at a specific airport, you can often get a cheaper deal to London Luton that to, for example, Gatwick.
I really wouldn't bother with the ferry train unless you have a particular reason for not wanting to fly. If you are planning to travel midweek, I'm almost positive you will get a flight a lot cheaper than the 10-hour ferry-train marathon would cost. As for a B&B, sorry can't help you - but I would advice looking outside of the city centre, but along the DART line/bus routes. There are quite a few on the Clontarf Road, along the 130 bus route (which is regular, and gets you into the city in about 15 mins) -- Viola |
Thank you. I am looking at May. When does Ryanair let one book for that, pls?

You would probably need to wait until after Christmas to book a Ryanair flight for May - but keep an eye on the website in case any good offers come up.

For accomodations try Clara House in Rathmines...a lovely guest house...run by friends of ours....you will enjoy it..

Hi, Is the name a-tea-bag or ate-a-bag? Sorry, I just couldn't resist asking :-)
I don't know if this B&B has charm, but my daughter stayed there for a month and said they were a very nice couple and very helpful. It is close to the bus station in Dublin and an easy walk to all parts of the city. http://www.anchorguesthouse.com/index.htm |
Clara House in Rathmines without a doubt.......run by a friend of mine Dave Pearce....you cant do better and its convenient to everything. Tell him Marilynn sent you...

I can definitely recommend Kilronan House in Dublin, for charm, and I noticed single women at breakfast. The rooms are en suite. It is fairly central, near St. Stephen's Green, and a great spot for walking to all the main sights!
