Best way to get from Brussels to Maastricht.

Anyone have any experience traveling from Brussels to Maastricht? We thought we could take a train, is that possible? How long would it take?
Thanks

Hi, go to www.ns.nl, which is the Dutch railway site. Click on English and fill in the blanks.
Travel time approx. 3 hrs. When leaving from Brussels Nord sation.
Casey.

Casyn2 might have had better luck when trying the Belgian railways site http://www.b-rail.be (as most of the trip is located in Belgium):

I checked Brussels-Central (Midi will leave a couple of minutes earlier, North a couple of minutes later) to Maastricht Centraal. There are trains every hour at 56 minutes past the hour, 1 switch in Liège and the total journey time is 1hr 54 minutes.

This is an example schedule, but it's the same every hour:

10:56 Brussels-Central 12:02 Liège-Gillemins (train direction Eupen)

12:18 Liège-Gillemains 12:50 Maastricht (train direction Maastricht)

absolutely take the train - you'll have to change in Lieges-Guillemin but connections are good
takes about an hour
