Best Way from the Airport to Nice?
 

How does anyone recommend getting to Nice (hotel is near Place Massena)? I've heard there is a tram and a train line, and of course taxi. How would you get there?

We took a the public bus to the Airport from Nice ( we arrive by train) . It was about 30 minutes.. and kind of hot and crowded.. but ok. cheap.

When we arrive ( train) we took a taxi.. we didn't want to fuss with trying to find hotel and we arrived around 4-5 in afternoon and it was roasting hot.

Take the express shuttle (bus 98) at the airport and get off at Albert 1er or Cathedral depending on your hotel location.

We took the bus. Very easy to use, even with flying overnight from Seattle.

Take a taxi.
The airport is very, very close to town.

The airport bus is the way to go into Nice. We were in Nice two weeks and never used or rarely saw a taxi.

As the others have said, the bus is easy to use and very cheap. It kind of depends how long your flight is and how much luggage you have. I tend to grab a cab on arrival and then take the bus when I leave, they are easy to find outside the airport arrivals and it will take you around 15 minutes to get to Place Massena.
