Hi lov,
From Ravello to Rome, do Gerardo's directions in reverse.
You can also take the ferry from Amalfi to Salerno. The docks are about 3 blks SW of the train station.
For Ferry schedules Positano – Amalfi - Salerno (P.zza della Concordia):

Hi Lov2 - The Sita website uses the 24-hr clock so is easy to understand:
http://www.sitabus.it/sitabus/campan...o-XVESTIVO.pdf
But ferry is quicker than bus between Amalfi and Salerno - if the timetable is convenient for you:
http://www.salernocity.com/comune/tr...i/costiera.asp
For train timetables Salerno-Rome go to:
www.trenitalia.com
Hope this helps ...
