Best way from Mykonos to Athens
 

I am looking to travel from Mykonos to Athens on 1 September 2014. We are unable to change this date as accommodation is already booked.

I was wondering on everyone's opinions on what they think is the fastest and / or cheapest way to travel from Mykonos to Athens (i.e. ferry or plane)? We are staying at Attalos Hotel in Monastiraki, Athens.

Plane is a short hop. We've taken it. Airport is in the hills.

Definitely fly Aegean Air if you want fast. The flight should be under an hour.

I have been in the lobby of the Attalos Hotel.

It is convenient for exploring the Plaka.

Fast and cheap are usually not the same. Fastest is flying. Fastest ferry is to Rafina then a bus into Athens. Cheapest is a conventional ferry to Piraeus and a bus into Athens.

The plane takes about 20 or so minutes to Mykonos. No idea of the price.
