Best Way: CIA to Rome at night

We'll be landing at around 8:30 p.m. at CIA airport. I know that there are various options to get into Rome. I have read about the mass confusion with the bus that Easyjet and Ryanair use. I wonder if anyone has used any of the other options. I don't do limos or shuttles, but would appreciate info on bus/train/metro, etc.

Hi OD - Bus, train or taxi are all options.

It's often quickest to catch the Terravision Shuttle bus direct to Roma Termini.

http://www.terravision.it/rome_ciampino.html

Alternatively you can reach Roma Termini by train. Ciampino station is a 5-10 mins ride (- bus or taxi) from the airport.
Train journey time: 15 mins.

For train timetables see:
www.trenitalia.com.

The alternative public transport option is bus to Anagnina, then metro - but this takes longer.

A taxi direct to Roma Termini should be in the region of € 40.

Hope this helps ...

Steve

Thanks. I was thinking of terravision, but I have read reports of chaos on trying to board the bus. I'll check out the trenitalia schedule.

I took Terravision to the airport, but I saw no signs of chaos. I doubt it's anything you couldn't manage.

I'm sure I could handle it. I'll probably just go with terravision. Did you buy the tickets at the airport? I notice that you can buy them online, but I don't want to lock myself in.

I took Terravision bus also...and there was no chaos at all..well, we landed at 1 AM due to a delay :) But I was flying Ryanair and we bought tickets for the bus at the plane.
Don't worry , you don't arrive at night, it's late afternoon in italy, jejeje.

Appreciate all the replies. We'll try terravision.
