My husband and I bought Crocs ... they too aren't the 'cutest' sandal/clog out there .. but I have to say they are very very comfortable and seem to be the only sandal my husband can wear w/o his back hurting after so long.

I walked 6 - 8 hours a day in Paris in my slip-on Merrills and never had a moment of discomfort. Plus they were the light weight weave kind, so my feet never got hot. This is a very old thread, but I guess such topics never get too old!
