Best triple room in a Paris hotel for $300?
I asked the question before but now we have decided to increase our budget. We are looking for recommendations for the most spacious, bright, renovated triple room in a central but quiet location (7th Arr seems attractive) that we can get for $300. We are going the week of Thanksgiving.
Thanks. |
I can't believe that no Fodorites have recommendations in response to this request...

Be patient - the night shift research crew hasn't come on duty yet.

Oui, c'est une idée exceptionnelle. Mais il peut ne pas obtenir la plaisanterie. Allait-il comment votre voyage? |
Degas, are you having a bout of French dyslexia today? Try a shot of pastis.........

StCirq, actually, I was trying out a friend's new language translator. An el cheapo model. Was it that awful? Best you tell me now than those snippy waiters I love to write about.
|
Well, that pretty well settles the question of how well those contraptions work, now, doesn't it? .b(

Ask for room 50 at the Parc St. Severin. It's a large double with a couch that is actually a day bed and i'd guess fine for a single. I think we only paid 150. The bathroom is enormous.

Degas, although the French was slightly mangled, I managed to figure it out . My trip was excellent, merci and I look forward to another in a few weeks. It won't be half as French but will take me South where I will feel quite at home~
I would look into anohter type of translator, perhaps a young student? ;) |
Check out www.hoteldupantheon.com in the 5th( Latin Quarter) I know they have at least one triple, I think it's in your price range. Also click other hotels in their site, hotel Grands Hommers, is also very nice directly across from the Pantheon.
Viva la France p.s. The top floor rooms in both these hotels have wounderful views of the Pantheon. Fluffy |
Iza this is a post script to my previous message, I was just on the du Pantheon's web site and there are special Winter rates starting Nov. 10th.I will be in Paris Thankgiving week as well.

You might want to check out the Grand Hotel des Balcons in the 6th. THey have a few triple rooms that are comfortable and may be less than 300/night. You might also want to check out the Hotel le Clement and the hotel du danube on the rue jacob in the 6th as well. YOu can do a fodors search or google search. Have stayed at all 3 and found them to be reasonable and well situated. You could also look into renting an apartment for that price that will give you more space and flexibility. Check out www.panacherental.com for great information. THey are an excellent company to work with. Last visit to Paris, I rented a 2 bedroom apartment that was perfect and not a problem. Everyone associated with them was helpful and very attentive to detail. Good luck!
