Our cruise ship will be stopping in
Dubrovnik, Croatia for about 12 hours in October. Am interested in the best suggestions for sightseeing, shopping, markets, etc. Since we will be there for such a short period of time, your help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Walk the wall and explore the town. There are so many little nooks and crannies. Eurotraveler recommended the War Museum. It sounds like something to see (that I missed )

12 hours!! Say it ain't so.

I second Grasshopper - do the wall walk. It is simply stunning. I loved it so much, I made my poor girlfriend walk around it twice with me one day (once with color film, once with b/w). Drop down into the town and explore. It isn't that big that you can't see a lot in the 12 hours. Visit the palace and the churches, too.
