Best time to visit

When is the best time of the year to visit France? My husband and I are specifically interested in visiting the Cote De Azur region.

June 29.

Best wishes,

Rex

I like June. The weather is warm enough to go to the beach but usually isn't sweltering.

lol Rex! :-d
Hi Crimmy, so you want to go to Burgundy AND to la Cote d'azur?
May/june are perfect..

Rex I am absolutely sure it's June 30 or is it a timezone thing

Cote d'Azur will be nice from February thru November. Swimming is comfortable from late May thru end of October. Under all circumstances, avoid August: too crowded and too hot. October is a nice time, because weather will be good (around 25°C), the sea is nice for swimming, the flowers are in their second bloom and everything is relaxed. My tip: The most beautiful landscape is a the Esterel Coast, between St. Raphael and Cannes.

Hi, My family (3 children) is planning a trip to Cote D'azur in Sept. We have two places lined up in Grimaud near St Maxime. Is there a big differnce between the weeks of the 8th to 15th or 15th to 22? And also is this a good place to have a home base?

silvia, you've added your question to a post from 2005 and your question is a bit more specific than the original posters.
