Best time to visit

Hi all. Turns out that my original plans of visiting Ireland in Aug/Sep have had to be changed. My options are now to bring the 2week holiday forward to mid-june, or to July. I am not sure which time is better to go. Any advise/ comments will be most appreciated.

The later you get in the summer, the more crowded it gets.

Bill

We spent 6/27-7/7 in Ireland and it was a very pleasant stay. Of course it was busy but I have really never been on a vacation where there weren't any tourists! We are in our 50's and had no problem driving or sightseeing or eating out. The pubs were very crowded when there was music, but that in it's own way was part of the charm. We loved the west coast and Galway.

Lisa
We were there the last week in June.
I think it's in a period referred to as "mid-season". The weather was decent, there weren't crowds and some of the accomodations were priced slightly lower than "high" season.

marylouise
