Looking for the best week of the year to visit Belgium where it will get the least amount of rain and the temps will be in the 60's or higher. Or am I asking the impossible?

Best time? Why would it be impossible? Belgium isn't the ends of the earth. It's called summertime, you know, June - August. The best actual week? Who could ever predict that? That would be asking the impossible, obviously.

We never have 60c. If you talk 60F I quit doing the maths, as well as $-€.

I an't answer your questoin and I've been living all my life in Belgium. Usually we have at least 3 weeks of good weather in summer - but we never know when.

Some year temp was way below 20c on 21st of july and fireworks for national day was cancelled on some occasions due to heavy rains.

When I was a kid and studying for my exams in june, I always found the weather to be gorgeous.

Weeks 18-20 and 40-42 should be ok. Travel other weeks at your own risk.

Thanks! Weather has always held us back from visiting due to the rain issues. I simply like to minimize the chances of rain and keep the temps in the light jacket range.

You should have been here (*) last week and this week. Weather has been (and still is) glorious, with blue skies and temps around 25°C.
(*) 'Here' is in northern Belgium because souhern Belgium has had some rain the last few days.
Weather is really unpredictable. Just give it a chance.

No rain either in Waterloo Myriam, I got it all in Paris though.
Superb weather too.

It's impossible to predict. It's been gorgeous last week, but the last week of April we had frost, hail and snow.

You can get a week in August with rain every day. Or a heatwave.

Unless you're going for sunbathing, the weather is irrelevant.

I guess it's a. Dice roll when it comes to rain in Belgium, for us though it is not irrelevant. We hate to vacation in the rain.

By "Belgium", I think you mean "anywhere that is not known as an arid region".

We have vacationed all over Europe and have had much success in selecting the right time of the year to avoid , for the most part, cold and rain. But places like London and Belgium are very difficult with respect to avoiding having to spend significant parts of your vacation in rain. Lets dispense with the snooty comments.

It's not snooty MrsBillT, it's reality. You can tell by the averages that May - September are better than December - March, but we've had August months with almost daily rain. And we had gorgeous sunny days in January.

We've had beach weather at Easter, but also snow late April.

If it is that important to you, book very last minute, if the weather forecast looks good.

I have palmed feet. Like all Belgians. I speak like a duck - further norht they speak like Dutch. I you hate to 'vacation' in the rain, definitely avoid us.

Rain in the stats means minimum 1 mm on a day.
14,3 days on a month means one day out of 2, roughly.

I have had Florence in June with rain and London in November with glorious sunshine. It's a gamble.
