Sorry to be a bit vague, but I've heard there's a great sushi place on the upper level of Liverpool Street station (up where the shops are)

Harvey Nichols has a fun sushi restaurant. It's not the best I've ever had, but very good and it's fun. It's on the top floor by the cafe. You sit at a big circular bar and the sushi goes by on little plates. You pick off what you want and at the end of your meal they add up the plates (price based upon color). Love the store in general, so fun to start with lunch on the fifth floor and work your way down.

Nobu. Nothing comes close.

London is seriously lacking in good sushi restaurants. At least at Nobu, you know that regardless of your bill, you will have a wonderful meal.

If you can't get a booking, you can usually get a seat at the sushi bar.

Nobu is really good, even though a bit pricy. I was there three weeks ago, with my girlfriend who is a Japanese food addict. The dinner there cost me roughly $170-180, and it included drinks, appetizers, main dish, and deserts. The food was great. Had to make reservations 3 weeks in advance.

P.S. Make sure you try their mushroom salads, they're fantastic.
