Best site to buy rail tickets from london to paris, paris to lille

Hello
I would like to book rail ticket online before I leave. Which site(s) is best: raileurope, snfc (paris to lille), eurostar or any other site that can recommend.

Eurostar is definitely the best source for tickets from London to Paris. I would imagine that snfc would be best for Paris to Lille.

Rail Europe is not recommended because they seem to only sell full priced tickets.

Hopefully, someone with more recent information than mine will chime in.

Hi lol,

I would take the Eurostar to Paris.
www.eurostar.com. Choose UK as your home country.

Sometimes www.raileurope.com is cheaper.

You can go to Lille either on the Eurostar or via www.voyages-sncf.com.

Enjoy your visit.

Given the capacity problems on the route at present, this advice might not apply when you're travelling.

But as a general rule, it's cheaper to buy a return London-Psris-London fare in advance from the Eurostar website than a single London-Paris ticket. As long as you make sure your return London-Paris train stops at Lille, there's nothing (as far as I'm aware) stopping you getting off at Lille - though you have to go through UK immigration at Paris, and I suppose if you're not an EU citizen you get a UK entry stamp on your passport, which will REALLY confuse the Schengen computers.

So if Eurostar continue this promotional policy (which, while they've got fewer seats than they can sell, they might not for the next one or two or however many months), buying a return London-Paris Eurostar ticket will be the cheapest way of doing this.

I purchased Eurostar tickets for travel between Paris Gard du Nord and London St Pancras from the following linkbr />
http://www.eurostar.com/dynamic/index.jsp

The whole process was easy, reliable and hassle free. Try it.

Good luck!

I would like to buy Eurostar tickets online from the website noted by Swagman.

Will I beable to get these tickets delivered to me in the USA?

I won't be traveling until September 9, 2009. How far ahead should I book to get a good deal. £55 per person?

,,,,Sometimes www.raileurope.com is cheaper.......

That would be a rarity. I have take a dozen trains and priced many more. I have never seen RailEurope to be cheaper on the base fare and then you add in their fees. RailEurope is not a rail company. It is travel agency designed primarily to sell train tickets to N Americans.
