Best site for UFFIZI tix- cheapest!

Am interested in buying tickets for us four, family with two kids, 15 and 12. Have been on few sites, all employ expensive booking fees plus "exhibition" fee. We do not qualify for discounts as Americans, that is for the ECC folks.

I found www.goporta.com and total for 4 is E. 16.00 and they say this:

Product Price Qty Total
Uffizi Gallery Reserve Ticket
Date..: 08/19/2008
Time..: 9:15
Fee: € 4.00 Euro per ticket independent of event or museum admission price.
Visit Flexibility: No Flexibility €4.00 x 4 = €16.00

Goods Total €16.00

Is this just a RESERVE service? They don't have price of ticket anywhere on site that I saw. I just sent them an e-mail so hope to have an answer tomorrow. The way Fodorites answer threads, many times it is in minutes so hope to have any advice before I get their reply! Is that wishful thinking or what? Thank you!!!!

Check out Ira's advice at: http://www.fodors.com/forums/threads...2&tid=35123677

That way you don't pay for the tickets until you are there and claim them.

Ask your hotel in Florence. They are quite helpful in getting reservations for their guests, at no additional charge. If you haven't booked yet, I can highly recommend the Relais Cavalacanti, in the center of Florence.

Our B&B in Florence has called and reserved tickets for us at the same price that we would have paid online. The difference is that we don't need to pay for the tickets until we pick them up on the day of our visit - but we do have to pay cash in euros.
