Hi Sue!

I believe it's option #2. What do I win?

Hell Sue,

In high season there's a hydrofoil service from Naples (Mergellina) to Positano which takes 45 mins. This is actually the quickest.

Steve

Sue,
maybe choosing a fast train (Eurostar) from Rome to Salerno, the best solution is train ES Rome - Salerno, then hydrofoil Salerno - Postano which takes 70 minutes.
These are the departure times of the hydrofoils from Salerno to Positano: 8.40, 9.40, 11.30, 14.10, 15.30 .
Have a nice trip.

We're going to Positano from Rome the morning of May 18th - very soon. Will the hydrofoil be in operation then?
Thanks,
Sue
Sue - the Naples-Positano hydrofoil service won't start before next month.

The Salerno-Positano ferry service (70 mins.) IS running. Departures are from PIAZZA DELLA CONCORDIA jetty, 200m from Salerno station.

Vincenzo has listed departure times above.

Hope this helps ...

Steve

P.S. Bare in mind that there's no road access (i.e. no taxi's) from the jetty in Positano.

Thanks...that helps.
Sue
