Best route through Spain?

I have been to Madrid a couple of times, but never to Seville, Granada, and Cordoba. My husband (who has never been to Spain) and I plan to go either the last week in November or the first week in December. I have Spanish friends in Madrid that we will visit, so we will start our trip in Madrid. From there, we would like to do our travel by train.

What is the best route to follow to see these place? Madrid, Seville, Granada, Cordoba, back to Madrid. Or is there a better plan?

you can travel to Cordoba ( stop) and Seville by AVE ( fast train), to Granada from Seville by train or bus, and fly Granada- Madrid ( about 40 euros). I don't know about trains from Granada to Madrid.
Or, do it the other way around!

You can go from Granada to Madrid by train or bus. Our daughter had a slight preference for the bus when she lived there. We took the bus from Madrid to Granada and it was very comfortable.

Thank you, both. Can you give me an idea of the times between each place?

My best choice would be to take the AVE to Cordoba, visit a day and then hop back onto the AVE to Sevilla. From Sevilla, rent a car and visit some of the white villages and work your way up to Granada. From there, get a flight to Madrid.

My opinion would be use only one day at Cordoba and split the balance at Sevilla and Granada.

We really are not interested in renting a car. We like the freedom of public transportation, especially since there will be 4 of us with luggage. Can we make this trip using only trains?

Sorry; I meant to ask more. Can we do Seville, Cordoba, and Granada and fly from Madrid at the end, or should we skip Cordoba?

Still not what I meant! Can we arrive in Madrid, take the train to Seville and Granada and Cordoba, and then fly back from Granada to Madrid, or is Cordoba out of the way for this plan?

Cordoba is on the way to Seville !
same AVE line.

this should help.

I knew about the website, and I should have gone there first; I was just interested in how the travel worked best. I knew that Cordoba was on the way to Seville, but I read a lot about doing Cordoba from Granada, so I thought maybe the train to Seville did not have a stop in Cordoba or that the timing just made it easier from Granada. Thanks!
