Best Route Munich to Salzburg
 

What would be the best route from Munich To Salzburg. Would opt for most scenic if it is not too long. Thanks.

Autobahn.....straight shot.

Not sure if Oberammergau is exactly on the route between Munich and Salzburg as I got there by a different route but the town is colorful with all the murals on the houses/stores. From Oberammergau we drove to Salzburg. Here is a restaurant recommendation in Salzburg: Gasthaus ?Zum Wilder Mann.? We had an excellent dinner. It's on the main pedestrian street, Getreidegasse.

I agree with Bob that the autobahn is the best route. You will have good views of the alps and of some towns along the autobahn.
