!! Best Room # to stay in - Burg Hotel, Rothenburg

I posted a thread a bit ago on great hotels in Rothenburg. The Burg Hotel is one of a few that is mentioned on a regular basis. My husband and I have decided to stay there on our trip to Germany this summer (end of July). What room # do you recommend and why?
As usual .. thanks for all of your help!

Hi katzen - I'm pretty sure we stayed in Room #9. It was directly at the top of the stairs, that I do remember. It is a small suite with one king or two twins (depending on how you want it). It had a small sitting area with a lovely view of the courtyard. The bathroom is quite large. It was spotless and nicely decorated. It cost 150 € per night.

Have a wonderful trip! I really liked the Burg Hotel and would stay there again.

Katzen -

If #9 was right at the top of the stairs, then that is the one my sons had - separate sitting area, decent bedroom, long and skinny bath. THe view was over an enclosed courtyard and part of the city wall. Also, this one is right across from the breakfast room.

Our room must have been #8, which I think is better for a couple - 4 poster bed, sitting area (altho not separated like #9), and a huge bath with big corner tub. One set of windows looked out over the courtyard, the other set looked out over the little street.

Good backup hotel is the MARKUSTURM. Room 120 or 121 is best choice. You will see your windows on etchings of the hotel and tower that sell all over town.

BURG is also nice.
