Best Rome tours, bar none?
Hi everyone. I recently found that the Roma Antica tour is one of the best in Rome. Can anyone suggest what they consider the best in Rome or outskirts? Thanks

When my husband and I went to Rome five years ago, we had a wonderful guide named Giulia. We are going back to Rome in April 2007 and we plan on hooking up with her again.
Below is a little info about her that she recently sent me. Greetings! It certainly has been a long time. How are you and Mark doing? I hope all is well. I am writing to announce with pride that on May 12th I graduated from the University of Colorado at Boulder with a Master's degree in Art History. I sincerely hope to be able to put my newly acquired knowledge to use for you once again. Please feel free to get in touch if you or any other family members or friends should be heading to Rome in the future. To that end, please be sure to note and pass on the changed e-mail address. I will be using this address([email protected]) from now on. I hope to see you again in the Eternal City! A fond "ciao," Giulia Bernardini Your Roman Tour Guide |
Mango7, I believe the Roma Antica Tour is probably Context Rome as that is the name of their excellent Palatine/Forum/Colesium tour. I've did four Context tours last month - all were outstanding. The other group I used was Anno Domini Organization and ther Pilgrims Way Tour was also outstanding. Here's their link:

We were in Italy for two weeks this past October. We used Context for four tours, one in Florence and three in Rome. The tours and the Context tour guides were fabulous and worth the cost.

Ladies and Gentleman, thank you so much for your pointers. I am going to definititely do the Roma Antica tour. I will research the other tours with Context and probably do 2 or three more (one in Florence too). Thanks again!
