Best Restaurant in Montepulciano

What are some very favorite restuarants in Montepulciano?
I'm looking for a place with really great Tuscan/country ambiance and amazing authentic Tuscan food.
Thanks for any advice!

That is open for discussion. We will be there in May for a week and I will have more current experience after that.
However, La Grotta near the San Biagio church has been a standard for years. And, Osteria Aquacheta is well known for their bistecca---I have to try that. For lunch we have always liked Cafe Poliziano. Good luck !

We eaten at Osteria Aquacheta twice and loved it. Reservations are a must and the entire dining experience is wonderful. Share the table and chat with those around you.

Osteria Aquacheta is a must, particularly if you like red meat. Sure it will be filled with tourists, but plenty of locals as well. It's crowded for a reason, and the reason has nothing to do with recommendations a guide book.

I'm looking forward to some great Bistecca so it sounds like Aquacheta would be a great pick although all sound perfect. Thanks so much for the great advice!

I agree with everyone on Osteria Aquacheta and Caffe Poliziano. I also recommend Trattoria Di Voltaia. For lunch, try Osteria del Conte near the Fortress.
