Best Restaurant in Milan - Open Sunday Dinner

We'll be in Milan for my birthday this year in November and want to go to a nice restaurant for dinner. But it's a Sunday and I am finding that most of the good restaurants I've heard about are closed on Sunday night. We will have spent time in Bologna, Padova and Verona prior to Milan and have planned to eat at a lot of the restaurants noted on this fodors forum and in Chowhound. Many of these are smaller, family owned places with very good pasta. We love that but thought maybe we should try a place in Milan that is a bit more of a destination restaurant, or a bit more on the modern cooking style also with a nice setting etc. We may end up at another small place with good local food but thought I'd ask to see if anyone had any reccos. We were thinking maybe a 5 course prix fixe style restaurant. Cracco and Trussardi look great but they are both closed as are most of the michelin starred restaurants. Please don't take this the wrong way. We love small homey restaurants with great pasta and will be doing that most of the trip. We just felt like we might want a change after 10 nights and thought Milan might be the best bet for trying that kind of restaurant. Has anyone been to Unico or Innocenti Evasioni for example. Any thoughts you all have would be very helpful.
Thanks!

Sunday lunch is a big deal in Italy. Would you be willing to make your special meal then? We have spent 3+ hours having lunch.

Yes a great lunch would be fine. Any reccos on either dinner or lunch would be great. Thanks
