Best Rail Line
 

I have done some research on rail lines in the UK and there are so many! What is the best one for a consecutive 4 day trip? It seems like Rail Europe has expensive fares for say a round trip rail pass, but I cant seem to find any other site that offers a consecutive 4 day trip like they do.

You need to decide which train trips you want to take and then look at the individual prices to see if ANY pass makes sense. As mentioned on your other thread - you should try to focus a bit on which 2 or 3 places you want to visit.

As of now you don't have a plan - you are just concentrating on getting a pass of some sort. Before you can possibly know if a pass makes sense, you need to have some idea where you are going.

The train companies are separate but the ticketing is uniform and crosses all the companies. Can I suggest you use thetrainline.com once you know what you want to do.

Don't use thetrainline as they add on charges for CC use and picking up tickets.

Outside of perhaps First Scot Rail in Scotland, I cannot think of a single train company that would cover a four day train trip. And actually it doesn't matter much. Next week, for example I will be going from the Coswolds to the Yorkshire coast. During this trip I will be using 1st Great Western to Worcester the Connet train to Birmingham followed by Cross Country train to Sheffield and then finally the Northern train. My point is that it doesn't make much difference at all as long as you know which train you need to take. Do what Sheila said, check the details on the Trainline.

Here is a link to the rail pass I found. We are both under the age of 26...so this would work. 2nd class is $207 for 4 days "unlimited" travel throughout the UK. Has anyone done this before that would recommend or not recommend it? All of the places we would like to see have stops along this railway according to the railmap.
