Best Priced Car Rental in Munich

We'd usually rent a small Benz/BMW w/ manual transmission in Munich, Sixt used to have fantastic deals on this class, but not anymore. Can someone direct me to find the better/discount deals. So far I found 345 euro for a week including insurance & tax with no prepayment.

If a KIA, Ford or Peugeot would do, you can try www.sixti.de or www.interrent.de. I prefer interrent! The final price should be around 150€ to 200€, depending on insurance. And the charge 10€ extra for cleaning. However during summer it won't get much cheaper. Interrent is a well known company, however (I believe) ALL rental acencies are crooks, so take the usual precautions. :-)

Thanks logos, actually we really prefer any C class Benz or BMW 300 series just because we're in Germany. Sixt used to deliver our car to the hotel for free and we used to be able to leave the car with the hotel concierge to return, nowadays they're not that helpful anymore so I'm not that loyal to Sixt. Any other suggestions?

The X3 from Avis.de might be for you :-)

www.buchbinder.de has an Alfa 159, not bad either :-), but if it has to a a BMW or Benz..

I tried Avis.de but couldn't find any X3, the BMW 320 totaled over 400 Eur at a prepaid rate, so what I have is still better. I'll give the other website a try, I've rented an Alfa Romeo once in Zurich and it was OK.

Won't be cheap, though.

I explored the Buchbinder but we need it on Sunday morning. The only station open is in Muenchen Passing. I hate the idea of having to drive the car into the city to pick up our lugage from the hotel.

logos: Thanks for your tip. I am quite interested in trying the X3 since we're thinking of buying one for my wife. Unfortunately they don't have the X3 rate for Muenchen Hauptbahnhof where we need to pick up as we're staying in hotel Anna and returning to Sofitel.

Well, the streets are empty on Sunday morning. It's about 300m from Pasing station. Anyway, they habe personalized service, you can ask.

Hi
Have you tried Autoeurope? I usually rent through them as they are a wholesaler. If you're looking for a different type of car try the MB A class, a 150 or a 180. If you're interested try an Audi. We just bought the A3 at home. We usually pick the car up at the airport because of the convenience of not driving in Munich

Thanks Aiger & logos: We prefer the C series series. Some of our relatives & friends own the Audis 4 & 6 so we are quite familiar with them. Autoeurope charges over 570 euro for the same C Benz I booked. I'm starting to think that what I have booked is a great deal.

I'm still going to research the 99 eur a day deal for the X3 from another Avis in Munich as we only need it for 5 days.

>great deal
Actually, doesn't sound too bad (Depending on the season). If I could get the X3, a C Klasse or Audi would be out of question ;-). Anyway, I'll stick with interrent for cars and Buchbinder for trucks :D
