Best place in Prague to take a most memorable photo

Hi all-
Every year I send an incredible holiday card to my friends and family with a photo of me on one of my great trips. Last year it was a photo of me hanggliding over Rio, one year was me jumping in the air with the Sydney Opera House in the background. This year I am going to Prague and want to take the picture there. Any recommendations of exactly where I can get a great photo with me in the foreground and memorable views of Prague in the background? Any secret spots a guidebook wouldn't direct me to? Please include specific addresses. Thanks!

Well, these won't qualify as secret spots, but for pictures that say "Prague" I'd include one of the famous landmarks:
- the old town square, perhaps with you standing below the Astronomical Clock, or with the Tyn church behind you.
- on the Charles Bridge, looking either way, with you in the foreground. The towers and spires behind you will make a beautiful backdrop. We used that for our Christmas picture last year.
- in the Castle, maybe in front of St. Vitus. You might be better taking the picture with the golden doorway as the main door can be difficult to get in the camera without a wide angle. Also the Golden Lane makes for a really nice backdrop. Visit very early in the morning to try to catch it without other people.

Here's a link with a few of my Prague pictures:

Just returned from Prague---sooooo many beautiful spots to take photos, but my favorite would be the Charles Bridge with the castle in the backgroud.

- Astronomical clock tower at the Old Town square.
- Letna Park (hill)
- Petrin Park (hill)

And of course on the Charles Bridge, if possible early in the morning when the bridge is (almost) empty.

- Prague Castle's St.Vitus cathederal tower (if you are fit enought to climb the narrow winding staircase with about 278 steps)

You should definitely go to Petrin, the park next to the castle. You get beautiful views of Prague and of the castle. You can either walk up, walk there from the castle (by going uphill and toward your left with the castle gate behind you), or you can take a small tram from Mala Strana near the Ujezd tram stop.

It's actually a funicular. If you happen to have a pass (for metro, tram, bus and 1/3/7 days, etc), the funicular ride is included or you just pay 20CZK for a single ticket. If you have time, either walking up or down (or both) is not difficult and you can stop any time you want on the road for good photos.

Next to the Strahove Monastery (well worth a visit) in the Strahovský Cloister is the Bella Vista restaurant. The view over the outdoor railing is the best view of Prague, IMHO. Expensive Italian, so the best deal is to just have a coffee mid-afternoon. Overlooks the top of Prague castle (and everything else):

Address: Strahovske nadvori 1, Praha 1

The most beautiful view, in my opinion, is standing near the statue of Smetana near the Charles bridge bridge (Old Town side), looking toward the bridge up to the castle. It is especially beautiful and serene at night.
