Best part of Andalucia in Spain
For those of you who have visited Andalucia, which part did you like best and would go back to. As for Hotels, which ones would you recommed? We have 4 days to spend in Andalucia in July. I know it'll be pretty hot.

Sevilla, Granada (do not miss the Alhambra) and Ronda. I also liked Jerez de la Frontera (famous for its Sherry and its horses). In Granada, I liked the Hotel Inglaterra. Can't speak to any other hotels, since we stayed with friends the rest of the time we were there.

My favorite things were lunch in the Parador in Ronda and the cave paintings nearby. Absolutely outstanding to be able to see 20,000 year old paintings!
|
The Mezquita in Cordoba. We stayed in a friend's house in a little white village just outside Granada. Alpujarras is beautiful too.
|
We loved Frigliana, and the Sierra Nevada mountain range, you can stay up in Sierra Nevada at this time of year as there are lots of Ski Chalets available to rent.

With only 4 days, I would visit Granada for a day, drive to Sevilla, stopping at Ronda on the second day and spend two days in Sevilla. We absolutely loved Andalucia and these were the high spots for us. In Granada, I would try to stay in the Parador but it is reserved months in advance. In Sevilla, we adored the Hotel Amadeus.

Ronda (interesting town and good touring location), Granada (for Alhambra), Cordoba (for the mezquita), Grazelema (not sure I've got the spelling right) and the wonderful national park around it. Grazelema has the advantage of being a bit higher and so a bit cooler but still very hot in July!
