Best meal(s) in Positano/Ravello/Capri?

Typical that we're thinking of great meals before we've even made hotel reservations for Positano (we're thinking of going in mid October) but you've got to start somewhere !!

Help needed from fellow travelers ...

Lunch at Da Salvatore, Ravello -- but only if it is a clear day.

We had several good meals in Positano but the BEST ones were at the Hotel Poseidon. So good that we ate there twice. I highly recommend the dining room at the Hotel Poseidon. Delicious!

Another vote for the wonderful food at The Hotel Poseidon! But also try one of the restaurants in Montepertuso, a mountain village very close to Positano. Many of these restaurants offer roundtrip transportation to guests staying in Positano, so ask your concierge to arrange it. We enjoyed DONNA ROSA and IL RITROVO, but there are several others as well.

Buon appetito!

Thank you all !! Now all I need to figure out is where to stay ... it'll definitely be in Positano (as our home base for 4-5 nights).

Any suggestions - would LOVE to stay in La Sireneuse but the budget won't allow. We're more in the $250 range.

dear weadles,

i just looked up albergo miramare on tripadvisor.com and it looks fabulous. couldn't figure out, though, how to book with them directly instead of going through booking sites like venere.com.

am i doing something wrong?
