Best Loire Valley Chateau Son-et-Lumiere?
In three weeks, we'll be staying at the Domain des Hauts-de-Loire near Blois for four days. I know that many of the Chateaux have Son-et-Lumiere shows but can't tell from the descriptions which one we'd like best. Can anyone recommend one?

I've only been to Le Lude's, so I can't compare. However, I enjoyed it very much. It was particularly memorable for its live characters, horsedrawn carriages etc which added to the pageantry.

I've only been to Blois' and enjoyed it very much. I liked the way the images were projected to work with the architectural features of the castle.
I believe they run an English night which would have made it even more interesting. I only saw it in French, but didn't mind. |
Two summers ago we saw the show at Amboise. Loved it. Colorful, cast of many, storyline wasn't difficult too follow. We did freeze that night--shorts/sweatshirt weren't quite enough.
I made reservations over the internet from the USA and picked up our tickets just outside the castle the afternoon of the performance. |
Thank you all for your suggestions!
