Help on itinerary Copenhagen, Norway & Stockholm

I'll travel to Denmark/Norway & Sweden this Aug and need help on below itinerary. We travel mainly on train & bus. One of my worries is whether worth to stay at Stryn for 3 nights? Currently I planned to go glacier / cycling & sommerski at Stryn, is there anything I missed. Appreciate your assistance as this is my first trip to Norway:

i wanted to stay at Flam but the accom is fully booked by now, that why I change the overnight to Laerdal instead.

Day 1 Copenhagen
Day 2 Copenhagen
Day 3 Copenhagen to Stavanger by Flight
Day 4 Stavanger
Day 5 Stavanger to Bergen by Bus
Day 6 Bergen
Day 7 Berger to Flam by Train - Cruise Trip (Overnight at Laerdal)
Day 8 Laerdal to Stryn
Day 9 Stryn - Briksdal Glacier
Day 10 Stryn - Sommerski Centre
Day 11 Stryn to Otta by Bus, the train to Oslo (Overnight at Oslo)
Day 12 Oslo to Stockholm
Day 13 Stockholm
Day 14 Stockholm
Day 15 Stockholm
Day 16 Stockholm - Copenhagen
Day 17 Copenhagen

Have you considered the ferry from Stavanger to Bergen?

Maybe take a day of Stockholm and spend more time in Oslo. I really liked Oslo, though I know many Fodorites don't.

Is there any way you could fly out of Stockholm instead of Copenhagen to avoid backtracking?

Hi hetismij2.. any specific places you can recommend at Oslo? What I plan in Oslo is visit Frogner Park & Botanical garden.

Kja.. u mean the itinerary remain but flight to Stockholm? If I understood your suggestion, what makes this better?

Kja means you should fly INTO Copenhagen and OUT of Stockholm for the flight home, so that you don't have to return to Copenhagen at the end of your trip.

Great trip, very well planned. My only suggestion and it has been previously mentioned is to take theboat from Stavanger to Bergen.

Irishwhistler is right about what I meant: if you can, you will almost certainly save time by starting in Copenhagen and flying out of Stockholm - you won't need to travel back to Copenhagen and you won't lose the time to check out of and then into another hotel.

If you can do that, you might add a day to Copenhagen at the start of your trip, so you have at least 3 full days there + whatever else your transit day allows. IMO, that would give you enough time to see Copenhagen's highlights, and maybe even fit in a day trip to Roskilde.

And you would still have at least 3, and perhaps closer to 4, days in Stockholm, which would give you enough time to see it's highlights, and maybe fit in a 1/2 day boat through the archipelago or a 1/2 day in Uppsala (or maybe even both).

Just a thought! It sounds like you will have a wonderful trip even if your flights are already fixed.

Thanks Guy!! The airline I booked doesn't not fly out from Stockholm, only in & out from Copenhagen.

Right now, the headache I still in considering the few days plan in Sognefjord. I'm not sure the Laerdal is good idea as base compare to Sogdnal or Balestrand.

On addition, I look at Odda area, there are plenty of view there as well.
