BEST INTERNET SITES FOR TRAIN SCEDULING THANKS

TO PLAN MY TRIP BUY TRAIN I NEED A GOOD SITE THAT TELLS THE DISTANCE BETWENN SMALL TOWNS OF FRANCE AND CITIES

Peg Sep 29th, 1999 07:12 PM

Jennifer, this is just the best site you can imagine to search for timetables and trains all over Europe.
http://www.bahn.de/
Just click on the English version and then 'timetable'. After you put in the towns you want to travel between you can print up schedules, maps etc. If you have problems with this let me know. Peg.

If you just want the train schedules, the SNCF's (French railway system) site would be OK : www.sncf.fr
But since you are talking about distances, you'd be better off checking a site for cars, that will give you the actual distances in km : www.iti.fr
Y no dude en contactarme directamente !

Peg has the right place. The best for schedules as it let's you put in the approximate time. You can go deeper into the site for English, etc with
http://bahn.hafas.de/bin/db.s98/query.exe/en?
Better site than RailEurope, or Frencg train site. It may be the german site but contains all of Europe. The only time I had a problem was when it approached the summer change over of June 1.
