Best Hotels in Venice
My wife and I were in Venice last April and had an incredibly wonderfull time. During the past 4 weeks we seperated and are now trying to reconcile. I would like to take her back to Venice to rekindle the flame and want the best hotel and accomodations I can find. Price is no object as she has been the love of my life for over 33 years. Any recommendations would be appreciated. Thanks

Gritti Palace, Bauer, and Danieli are all nice on the "mainland" of Venice. On the island (Lido) are Cipriani and Palazzo Vendramin. Personally, for a really private and deluxe vacation, I think I'd go for the Vendramin, which is out of the main tourist route and is super plush. Good luck, and congratulations.

My vote would be for Hotel Cipriani on the nearby island of Guidecca. Beautiful property, plenty of privacy, yet only a short private boat ride to Venice proper. Check it out at

Best of luck to you and your wife.
